Best Coffee Shops in Tulsa, OK
When it comes to coffee shops, your tour guide has tried them all. The best coffee roasters in Tulsa are DoubleShot, Topeca, and Cirque. Each roaster has a coffee shop in a different neighborhood, allowing you to explore Tulsa along with their signature brews.
Plenty of coffee shops do not roast their own beans. We’ve listed our favorite shops and roasters below. Whether you’re meeting a client, catching up with friends, or studying by yourself, check out one of these best coffee shops in Tulsa.
DoubleShot Coffee
This destination roaster is a coffee connoisseur’s dream in a reassembled two-story barn circa 1850. Expect top-notch coffee and delicious baked good made on-site at reasonable prices. Just don’t ask questions, order decaf, or request sweetener. Portlandia’s coffee shop manifesto scene was based on DoubleShot.
It gets crowded but there are various areas to meet, read, or work — including two patios. Head’s up the parking lot is cratered like the moon so easy does upon entering.
When we go: first thing in the morning or afternoons when quieter
What we get: cold brew on nitro (if it’s working) and slice of pumpkin bread (warmed up, please)
SoBo | 1633 S Boulder Ave, Tulsa | DoubleShot Coffee
Topeca Coffee
Located in the historic Philcade building, Topeca should be your Deco District coffee shop of choice. Seed-to-cup coffee is grown and hand-picked on the owner’s farm in El Salvador and then roasted in Tulsa. Enjoy outside seating in the canyon of skyscrapers and don’t miss our Oil Capital Pop-Up Museum inside the Philcade lobby. A newer Topeca branch in Vast Bank next to the baseball field is a more spacious but less historic experience.
When we go: weekday mornings when downtown actually feels busy
What we get: pour over or cappuccino with warm scone
PS: It’s pronounced “Toe-PECK-ah” and not like Kansas’ capital “Toe-peek-ah”
Deco District | 507 S Boston Ave, Tulsa | Topeca Coffee
Inheritance Juicery
This stylish restaurant and cold-pressed juice bar feels like an import from LA. It serves organic and vegan food and smoothies in a West Elm-furnished interior. And, yes, there’s coffee too! Everything tastes flavorful and feels healthy. Expect elevated prices for food and service of this caliber. Take advantage of the free infused water on tap. A variety of tables, couches, and bar seating draws a diverse crowd to this spacious interior with an open-air alcove and sidewalk patio.
When we go: anytime we want to feel healthy
What we get: chocolate or coffee smoothie and tomato jam grilled cheese
Blue Dome | 108 S Detroit, Tulsa | Inheritance Juicery
Foolish Things
We used to spend more time here than at home. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Route 66 and the downtown skyline. High tables allow you to stand and work, which is the way we do it. For those who want a seat, you’ll share communal tables and couches. Located in the Cathedral District, Foolish Things is a great place to meet with a group or study by yourself.
Cathedral District | 1001 S Main St, Tulsa | Foolish Things Coffee
Cirque Coffee
Be social and sit at the wooden bar or turn your back on the crowd and look out at the Pearl District’s red brick buildings. Cirque’s coffee menu includes creative, sweet, and seasonal concoctions. If you’re on-the-go, drive through their location in a shipping container near Cherry Street—but you’ll need to order in advance on their app. Note that Topeca recently bought Cirque.
When we go: before/after brunch at Bramble
What we get: draft latte
Pearl District | 1317 E 6th St, Tulsa | Cirque Coffee Roasters
Cherry Street | 1404 S Utica Av, Tulsa | Cirque shipping container
Coracle Coffee
This coffee shop made a cameo in Tulsa King when it was called Triangle. Expect a bright, minimalistic interior with individual and communal tables.
Deco District | 314 S Cincinnati Ave, Tulsa
